Steve May, who served in the full-time ministry in Phoenix, San Diego and Los Angeles, passed away on Tuesday, July 6 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Our trip to Casa Hogar in Agua Prieta, Sonora Mexico was a very productive and encouraging trip for the kids there. Not only did we deliver much needed supplies and love for the kids, but we have also improved on the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of our trips there.
What do teens have in common with their parents? That's what about 125 teens, middle schoolers and their parents came to find out this past weekend at the first ever teen and middle school/parent campout at Lake Pleasant, AZ. Many arrived at Lake Pleasant surprised to find such a beautiful area so close to us. The desert mountains were in bloom and we were able to set up camp right next to the water.
I recently attended our 'Parenting with Grace and Truth' workshop given by Jimmy and Anita Allen from Connecticut and loved it. I have been a mom for about 23 years and been to many parenting workshops before, so I thought, 'What can I possibly learn from another parenting workshop?'
